Position Summary

Position is responsible for providing excellent client service for Financial Centers and Retirement Community Bank locations in the LANCASTER area.  The position serves for both platform and teller functions.  The Senior Teller I is a positive team player that communicates and builds working relationships with the clients that we service. 


Essential Requirements, Duties, and Responsibilities

  1. Develops and maintains positive client relations through courteous and prompt response to client questions, issues, and problems. Takes ownership of client problems, questions, and situations
  2. These duties include processing transactions accurately, opening accounts and the achievement of sales goals.
  3. Make qualified referrals ending in sales on a consistent basis resulting in the achievement of sales goals.
  4. Prepare and actively participate in team meetings, events and branch sales initiatives
  5. Ensure self  is current and adequately trained on all internal policies, operational procedures, banking regulations, sales techniques and products at levels adequate to perform duties as required.
  6. Create and maintain a customer service and sales atmosphere / culture that is displayed when working in the Retirement Community locations.
  7. Maintain a complete understanding of PeoplesBank's internal policies, operational procedures, banking regulations, sales techniques and products necessary to perform the daily functions of those positions (teller line or platform) for which coverage may be required.
  8. Perform all platform and teller duties in a proficient and accurate manner.
  9. Assist customers with problems, questions and situations, handling all issues in an expeditious and empathetic manner.
  10. Responsible for understanding the Bank's BSA/AML Policy, including satisfactory completion of required annual BSA/AML training as applicable to position and appropriately applying this knowledge to daily activities and responsibilities, specifically understanding that any suspicious activity must be reported to the BSA Officer immediately.

Educational & Other Requirements

  1. Minimum of 3 years of expereience as a Teller including basic platform responsibilities, in another financial institution within the previous 6 years.
  2. High School education or equivalent is preferred. 
  3. Computer proficiency required; experience with Microsoft Office suite, preferred.
  4. Must be bondable.
