The Business Banking Center Assistant Manager is responsible for the day-to-day retail operations of Business Banking Center and promotes the bank by identifying client needs and suggesting appropriate products/services. It focuses on achievement of sales/performance goals and objectives.


Essential Requirements, Duties, and Responsibilities

    1. Develops and maintains positive client relations through courteous and prompt response to client questions, issues, and problems. Takes ownership of client problems, questions, and situations.
    2. Responsible for attaining goals such as deposit, loan, cross-sell and business partner referrals in order to retain and increase the retail client base and market share within a defined trade area.
    3. Maintains a thorough knowledge of financial products in order to broaden and deepen client relationships in support of the BRAVO Client Relationship Management initiative to grow the retail side of the Business Banking Center and achieve personal and retail goals.
    4. Operates the teller system to accurately process various financial transactions.
    5. Responsible for all aspects of the cash vault including balancing, placing cash orders, buying/selling cash and coin from tellers, and verifying cash shipments in a timely manner.
    6. Opens various deposit accounts and underwrites consumer loans as needed.
    7. Follows established procedures to open/close the Business Banking Center as required.
    8. Responsible for maintaining technical proficiency in the operation of appropriate PeoplesBank systems, following policies and procedures, and adhering to audit and security procedures.
    9. Strictly adheres to ethical standards of behavior as outlined in the PeoplesBank's Code of Business Conduct and Ethics.
    10. Communicates thoughts and ideas related to the continual improvement of processes, products, services, and related concepts.
    11. Responsible for understanding the Bank's BSA/AML Policy, including satisfactory completion of required annual BSA/AML training as applicable to position and appropriately applying this knowledge to daily activities and responsibilities, specifically understanding that any suspicious activity must be reported to the BSA Officer immediately.
    12. Satisfactorily completes all required annual regulation, sales and service training.
    13. Other reasonable duties as assigned by supervisor.


Educational & Other Requirements

  • Minimum of 3 years of banking required.
  • Associate degree in Finance or Business related discipline preferred.
  • Experience with Microsoft Office suite required.
  • Must be bondable.
